VPO FUNDRAISER WILL AID OUR MUSIC PROGRAM
Our VASA Parent Organization set a goal of raising $6000 to help purchase musical instruments for our school! Students sold Fresno Live 2010 Discount Card, which provides discounts for 83 local restaurants, 31 stores, 13 entertainment venues, and over 60 services. You can find them listed online at www.fresnolive.com. VPO will award the following prizes to the top 3 student sellers on Wednesday at Flag Salute and a pizza party to 5B class for selling the most cards. Prizes for the top selling students were:

3rd Place: $50 Gift Card-Michael Frietas 5A &

VASA LIVE CARDS WILL BE DELIVERED ON WEDNESDAY FOR THE EARLY FORMS AND THE OTHER ORDERS WILL FOLLOW NEXT WEEK.
VISION AND HEARING TESTING
VASA has contracted with the Fresno County Office of Education to screen our students for both Vision and Hearing Testing. The nurse was at our school site on Tuesday, December 1, 2009. The following grades are required to be screened: Kindergarten, 2nd and 5th. All Kinder and 1st Grade boys will also have a Vision Color Screening done, if they have not previously been screened. Due to the amount of students this year not all screening was completed. The nurse will return on Tuesday January 19, 2009. A follow up report will be sent to parents once all screening has been completed.

As a reminder, those After School Program parents who are making payments need to make them on a regular basis. Please bring all payments to the office and our staff will make sure you receive a receipt as verification. ASP greatly appreciates your continued support.
V.P.O HOLIDAY GRAM
Send that special someone a VASA VPO Holiday Gram for $1.00 Grams can be purchased through Dec. 11th. All grams will be delivered on Friday December 18th. No late orders will be taken due to limited supply order time frame due to the holiday season.

VASA CAFETERIA COLORING CONTEST!
Students have an opportunity to color or decorate a snowman however they wish. They can add sparkles, puff balls, wiggle eyes let them get creative.
Deadline Thursday Dec. 17th one entry per child. Coloring pages can be picked up at the office.
LOST AND FOUND
Is your child missing a coat? A sweater? A lunch box? A Shirt? Come look in our lost and found. Any item not picked up by Monday Dec. 14 will be donated to Coats for Kids.

VPO is in need of parent volunteers to help sort through all the items for sale. Personalized items will be sold for 50 cents an item. Please attend VPO Meeting Thurs Dec 10 at 6:00pm -VASA Cafeteria.
